Each B-24 Bomber was crewed by 10 people: a pilot, co-pilot, navigator (the crew’s map-reader and course-setter), bombardier (who cares for and drops the bombs), and 4 other enlisted men, who took care of other pre-flight and in-flight duties, like manning the guns to protect the planes from smaller attacking enemy fighters.
